The band was formed in 1988 by Georg Dolivo (guitars and lead vocals), Greg Fields (guitar), Reeve Downes (bass guitar), and Rick Kubach (drums). This lineup played the Los Angeles rock scene for a year with contemporaries such as Junkyard, The Four Horsemen, Rage Against the Machine and others. Warner Brothers signed the band in 1989 and they released their self-titled debut album in 1990 with Liam Jason (Warrior) on drums.
Their second album, 1992’s Get Used To It, was recorded in Memphis with producer Terry Manning. The album contained “Ride With Yourself” which was featured in the hit movie Wayne’s World. In 1993, drummer Simon Wright (AC/DC, Dio) joined the band and appeared on the 1994 album Pain. The band continued extensive touring, but by 1996 the band went on what turned out to be an extended hiatus.
The bands latest album “Who’s Got Mine?” was released in January 2011 to enthusiastic reviews by both press and fans. The band then embarked on two European tours making 71 appearances most notably at the Sweden Rock Festival where they played for over 10,000 fans. Currently Rhino Bucket is working on their newest record for an early 2012 drop date.
At first glance, Wild Willy’s girth could send some of societies most decadent citizens scampering for their lives, but instead he entertains them with a fresh and positive reflection about their preconceived ideas of the “stereotypical” bikers image.
Wild Willy is a natural performer who’s presence onstage commands attention while evoking laughter from his audience without reaching all the way into the slime bag for his material. After seeing him live, you will never look at a biker the same way again.
Since her instantaneous 1992 breakthrough with the indelible hit single “Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover” and her acclaimed debut album Tongues and Tails, Hawkins has proved an enduring artist with a fierce commitment to constantly evolving, while remaining steadfastly true to her own authentic history and experience.
